Marilyn Nettesheim

Obituary of Marilyn Nettesheim

Marilyn (Sue) Nettesheim (nee Muth) passed away peacefully on Monday May 24, 2021 at the age of 81. Loving daughter of William and Marion Muth Nee Mueller born on March 4, 1940. Marilyn grew up on Pewaukee Lake and was known to most as Sue. For over 25 years, she worked for the Waukesha School District and spent her life doing what she loved, spending time with her family and singing. Sue was a long time member of St. William Catholic Church where she was a faithful choir member. In her free time, she loved to volunteer for many church activities. One of the best things about Sue was her passion for laughing and making the people around her smile.  Her strength was amazing, raising three kids on her own and managing to keep her faith.

If you don’t believe in angels then you likely never knew our mom.  She raised 3 of us on her own with little money.  She had more love to give than could ever be bought.  After we moved from home our mom still needed to take care of people.  She worked part time, after her full time job, at group homes for adults with special needs.   After retiring from her full time job she continued filling her time volunteering with things like delivering meals on wheels.  She kept going full speed until a stroke slowed her down in 2014 and kick started Alzheimer’s.   Amazingly through this and the death of  her son she kept smiling.  She fought against the disease with everything she had and would have still been giving her time to others if she could have.   We will always miss our mom but are grateful the lord took her before the disease could take it’s full grip on her.

So that’s it...

As she always used to say!

Sue will be deeply missed by her loving children Cheryl (Peter) Zablocki, Thomas(Rocio) Nettesheim, grandchildren; Ryan and Sam, and five grand dogs, sister in laws; Mary (the late Bill) Muth, Barbara (the late Tom) Muth, and Sharon (the late Bob) Muth. She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving son Paul Nettesheim, three brothers William, Thomas, and Robert Muth.

The visitation for Sue will be held on Thursday June 3, 2021 from 10:00am until the start of the Memorial Mass at 12:00 NOON at, St. William Catholic Church 440 N Moreland Rd Waukesha, WI.
