Dawn, Andrew and Kayla;
I am so sad to hear about the death of your husband and father. I worked with Tom for many years at Hopkins Savings and Loan and was one of the original “Betty's” on the Bob's and Betty's of America. Because it was a small company we felt almost more like a family. I have many fun memories of Tom. He was full of enthusiasm and energy. He was also a sincere and heartfelt friend and helped me through a tough time in my life sharing his time with me during the illness of my mother after surviving his own bout with cancer. He touched all of us. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Dawn, Kayla, and Andrew,
As you already know, Tom was a very special man and loved by all he touched. My wife, Donna, and I are a part of the Bob's and Betty's softball team that Tom started 40 years ago. With Tom as our "Head Coach Bob", he brought all of us so much joy, friendship and many fond memories. Tom had a way of making everyone feel welcome, included, and important in all of his uniquely fun and wonderful traditions. He made it a point to ask you how you were doing and took an interest in the events happening in your life. Tom had a great sense of humor, a warm heart and a kind soul. Thanks for the memories, Tom!
With Sincerest Sympathy, Donna and David

My condolence's to Tom's family. I was saddened to hear the new's this past week of Tom's passing. My heart breaks for Dawn, Andrew and Kayla. We were blessed to have an incredible group of neighbors in Delafield Wisconsin for over 20 years. Tom and Dawn lived just a couple of homes down the street from ours. I always told our boys if they ever needed help at a time when we were not home to go to Tom and Dawn's house. He was the first one to welcome us to the neighborhood. Tom was one of the finest men that I have ever met in my life time. He will always be remembered by many of us. To Andrew and Kayla, your Dad was incredible. To Dawn, I am so sorry for your loss.

To Andrew and Kayla.
You are hearing from many who knew your Dad as they share memories and stories of their times with him. While you cannot see him any more, he will stay with you forever.
You witnessed the love affair he had with your Mom. You must know that any of your worries became his and likewise he celebrated all of your successes. What a proud father you had! He was always there for so many! He left you two and your Mom with so much.
While he will be sorely missed, those many happy memories will live on and be celebrated in the hearts of all of us who had the privilege.

Carol Marohnic Grams posted a condolence

My name is Carol Grams. I was the sister of Jerry Marohnic, who passed away 30 years ago. Tom (Dallas) and Jerry were great friends, and I have nothing but fond memories of the two of them together years ago. They were quite a duo. They shared the same crazy sense of humor, and were genuinely good men. I often wondered what became of Dallas, after my brother passed away. After reading his obituary, I can see he went on to live a very fulfilling life. The thought of my brother and Tom, back together again in heaven, makes me smile. I'm so sorry for you loss.

I had the great pleasure of being City Administrator during Tom's service on the Common Council in Delafield and he was always a favorite. A very thoughtful, highly intelligent and gracious man whose contributions were valuable as he served. He served as counsel to me when I asked and I respected his opinion greatly. He cared about the City and kept the whole of the City in mind.
He also took this Minnesota Gopher to his first tailgate events in Madison. :) (We got past that whole thing.)
My condolences to his friends and family. He will be missed. Best wishes.
