Gloria was my neighbor across the hall on the 2nd floor on Newhall Avenue in Waukesha back in the very early 80's. She was always so proud of her daughter who was the light of her life. We compared stories of Navy boot camp even though I was in during the mid 70's and she years later. She was always so helpful and friendly. She definitely had a BIG heart and a beautiful soul. My condolences to her daughter, grandchildren and the rest of her family.

To my little sister Gloria. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the special memories we made and for all the help you gave me and words of encouragement. You were always there for my girls Rubina and Priscilla. You were a great aunt to them and the best sister a girl could ask for. I have so many great memories when we were kids. Life wasn’t easy for us, but you always made it fun. We loved to dance whether it was to Mexican music or disco. We would crank up Rod Stewart and dance until our feet hurt and then when we listened to Barry White, we would cry because his songs were so beautiful. Going to the dances in Muskego were so much fun.
You were so proud when you bought your house and we had a lot of fun family parties and cookouts there. It was such a blast! I remember you taking care of the animals and planting flowers with you. Your backyard was so beautiful.
I remember going with you to Chicago and seeing the museums, Navy Pier, the aquarium that we loved so much. Taking the boat rides. Remember when we went on that Park & Rec trip to Green Bay to Lambeau field and we actually got to see the Packers practicing on the field and riding the kids bikes to practice? You were taking all these pictures of me and we were acting goofy just like when we were younger. I had wanted to make plans with you when you retired, but God wanted you home.
I’m really going to miss you so much. My heart is completely broken after losing my beautiful daughter last year and now we had to lose you too. I’m praying a lot and I want you to know how much I love you. Please take care of my baby Priscilla. I love you little sister. Until we meet again.

I am truly grateful for the many memories of you Gloria. You taught me how to dance to Cumbias and Rancheras, how to jog, how to make meatloaf and so much more. You were loving, kind, generous and wise. Though life threw the occasional curveball you never let it stop you from your next adventure. There were things to see, work to be done, flowers to plant and places to go. It was easy to see that you loved your family & friends, animals of all kinds- especially cats and that you had a generous heart. I will miss you sweet sister, but I carry with me some fantastic memories: your smile, your laugh, your sense of humor, you shaking your groove thing to disco music, and your big & beautiful heart. Love you Gloria!

Sister, you were always so generous with all you had to give, loving love in all its many forms. I hope I showed my love for you when I failed to say the words. You have given me so many great memories, more than I could possibly write down in a day. Such fun we had treasure hunting at Maxwell Street days, flower shopping at Steins Garden, and listening to Willie Nelson as we burned the seasons shrubbery in your backyard. I am blessed to have had you in my life and I’ve great joy knowing your spirit lives on every time I think of you. Thank you for loving me, taking care of me, and always including me in your “reindeer games.” In my opinion you’ve earned your wings and a spare pair to bling-out to keep things interesting.
